All the farmers are advised to keep regular checks at plants in the orchards
FRUITS- Complete the planting of evergreen fruit plants such as citrus, guava, mango, litchi, papaya, sapota etc. as soon as possible as temperature is rising day by day.
Regularly remove the suckers arising from the root-stock portion of newly planted fruit plants.
To protect the new flush of fruit plants especially citrus plants from attack of sucking pests, spray Confidor @ 0.4 ml of Actara 0.33 g per litre of water.
To manage powdery mildew in mango, spray Contaf @ 1.0 ml per litre of water.
In peach and plum, irrigated the orchards at weekly interval, apply 4-5 ton per acre (10 cm thick layer) of paddy straw as a mulch material after application of second split of inorganic fertilizers.
