All the farmers are advised to keep regular checks at plants in the orchards

FRUITS- Complete the planting of evergreen fruit plants such as citrus, guava, mango, litchi, papaya, sapota etc. as soon as possible as temperature is rising day by day.

• Regularly remove the suckers arising from the root-stock portion of newly planted fruit plants.
• To protect the new flush of fruit plants especially citrus plants from attack of sucking pests, spray Confidor @ 0.4 ml of Actara 0.33 g per litre of water.
• To manage powdery mildew in mango, spray Contaf @ 1.0 ml per litre of water.
• In peach and plum, irrigated the orchards at weekly interval, apply 4-5 ton per acre (10 cm thick layer) of paddy straw as a mulch material after application of second split of inorganic fertilizers.
