Advisory related to Wheat, Mustard, Gram and livestock for next four days

Keeping in view of threat of corona (COVID-19) spread farmers are advised to follow the government guidelines, use mask, ensure social distancing (six feet), hand washing with soap at reasonable interval during all agricultural operation in crops and field.

Wheat- For the control of grassy and broad leaves weeds in wheat spraying of sulfosulfuron + metasulfuron methyl 32 grams or clodinaphop + metasulfuron methyl 60 grams active ingredients or isoproturon 750 grams + 2,4-D ester at the rate of 500 grams per ha. Make a solution in 500 to 700 liters of water and spray it with surfactant at 30-35 days after sowing.

Mustard- In mustard crop, first irrigation should be done 35-40 days after sowing before flowering. After that, irrigate after 70 to 80 days as necessary. For the control of mustard aphid use of yellow sticky strip (12-15 nos./hectare) and spray of imidacloprid 20% SP @ 150 ml/ha should be done.

Gram- In the gram crop, do the second irrigation 60 days after sowing. To control of pod borer in gram, spray of imamectin benzoate 5 % SG 220 gram/ha.

Animals- Take special care to protect the cattle from cold and tie a sack of jute around the back of the newborn animal at night. Offer sufficient quantity of grains along with green and dry fodder to the animals. Appropriate vaccination with the advice of a veterinarian to protect animals from sputum disease.
