Advisory related to Wheat, Gram, Garlic and Cucurbitaceous for the upcoming days

Keeping in view of threat of corona (COVID-19) spread farmers are advised to follow the government guidelines, use mask, ensure social distancing (six feet), hand washing with soap at reasonable interval during all agricultural operation in crops and field.

Wheat- At present timely sown wheat crop reaches at heading stage and it is critical stage for irrigation. So, it is advised to farmers please give irrigation to wheat crop. For the control of termite in standing crop give chloropyriphose 20 E.C. 4 litre per ha with irrigation water.

Gram- For control of pod borer in gram crop insect (larvae) appears on leaves than spray of imamectin benzoate 5 % SG 220 gram/ha.

Garlic- Due to root rot in garlic growth of plant is check and leaf yellow in colour occurs. The plant dried up from top to bottom. At the initiation of disease roots are dry and lower part of bulb is rotten ultimately whole plant will be died. For control of this disease it advised to farmers spray carbandezim 12% + mencozeb 63% WP @ 300 ml/ acre or thiophenet methyl 70% W/W 300 gram / acre.

Cucurbitaceous crops- Prepare seedling of early cucurbitaceous crops in small polythene bags.
