Advisory related to Wheat, Barley, Mustard, Gram and livestock for next four days
Keeping in view of threat of corona (COVID-19) spread farmers are advised to follow the government guidelines, use mask, ensure social distancing (six feet), hand washing with soap at reasonable interval during all agricultural operation in crops and field. Any herbicide and pesticide spray should be done when sky is clear and no need to irrigation because of moisture available in soil due to yesterday rain.
Wheat- Late sowing of wheat can be done up to 15 December. Seed rate:- 150 kg seed per ha. Apply first irrigation in timely sown wheat crop after sowing 20-25 days (CRI stage). Weeding at least once within 10-12 days of the first irrigation. In wheat crop, application of remaining two third dose of nitrogen in two equal portions during first (20 to 25 days) and second irrigation (40 to 45 days).
Barley- Apply first irrigation in timely sown wheat crop after sowing 20-25 days (CRI stage). Weeding at least once within 10-12 days of the first irrigation. In barley crop, remaining half dose of nitrogen during first irrigation ( (20-25 days).
Mustard- For the control of mustard aphid use of yellow sticky strip (12-15 nos./hectare) and spray of imidacloprid 20% SP @ 150 ml/ha should be done.
Gram- 20 to 25 days after sowing in gram crop use of T-shaped wood pegs (40-50 numbers per hectare) and six pheromone traps per hectare and insect (larvae) appears on leaves than spray of imamectin benzoate 5 % SG 220 gram/ha.
Animals- Take special care to protect the animals from cold and tie jute sack around the back of the newborn animal at night.
