Advisory related to Potato and Mango for next five days
POTATO- Under the prevailing weather conditions, there are chances of late blight attack in potato crops very soon. So it is advised to the farmers growing potato that if there is no late blight attack in the potato field, spray the crop with Mancozeb @ 0.25 % or 2.5 g per liter of water as a prophylactic spray. If the crop has already been attacked by late blight pathogen (initial symptoms have been observed in the field), Spray the crop with Cymoxanil+ Mancozeb OR Dimethomorph + Mancozeb OR Fenomidone + Mancozeb @ 0.3 % or 3.0 g per liter of water.
MANGO- To stop the Gujjiya keet from climbing on tree, stem of tree should be covered by fine soil layer upto 40 cm height from the ground in the last week of this month and wrap up with 25 cm broad strip of 400 gazes thick polythene and tie with the help of rope (sutali). With this grease must be applied in the lower portion.
