Advisory related to Onion, Potato, Cauliflower and Mango for the upcoming days

Onion- Transplantation of onion should be done in this week. Farmers are advised to uses fully decomposed FYM and potash fertilizer in the fields before transplanting.

Potato- Keeping in view weather, farmers are advised for application of fertilizer should be done also earthing up may be done in potato crop.Due to high relative humidity, infection of blight may occur in potato and tomato. Farmers are advised to do constant monitoring in both the crops. If symptoms appears than spray of Carbandizam @ 1.0 gm / litre of water or Dithane-M-45 @ 2.0 gm / litre of water is recommended. Transplanting of mature seedlings of tomato, cauliflower, cabbage, knolkhol and broccoli crop may be done in the raised bed.

Cauliflower- Constant monitoring of leaf feeders in cole crop is advised. If pest population is above ETL than Spray of B.t. @ 1.0 gram\ litre of water or Spinosad @1 ml \ 3 litre of water is advised.Intercultural operations in vegetables are advised to remove the weed. Irrigation in timely sown vegetables crop is recommended after that apply optimum dose of fertilizers.

Mango- Wrapping of plastic sheets around mango trunk should be done for preventing climbing of young mealy bugs. Apply grease to seal any cracks in the polythene sheets.
