Advisory related to crops for farmers

WHEAT- Current mean temperature is around 20-21 oC which are suitable for sowing of wheat. So farmers are advised to start the sowing of wheat. Improved varieties:- Raj-3077, W.H.-147, G.W.-190, G.W.-322, G.W.- 273, H.I.- 1544, Raj- 4037, H.I- 8498, Lok-1 and Raj-3765. Seed rate: - 100 kg seed per ha. Application of Chlorpyriphos (20EC) @ 5 litres per ha. with pre-irrigation is recommended before sowing in the fields having perennial problem of termite infestation. Recommended dose of fertilizer for N: P: K is 120, 50 and 40 kg / ha.

MUSTARD- Give the first irrigation in mustard where the crop is at 30 days.Dusting of Methylparathion 2% or Carbaryl 5% W.P. @ 20-25 kg/ha should be done for the control of mustard sawfly.

HORSE GRAM- Dusting of Quinalphos 1.5 % W.P. @ 25 kg/ha should be done for the control of cutworm in gram.
