Advisory for Vegetables, Fruits & Sugarcane

Vegetable: It is the time sowing of okra and cucurbits such as cucumber, bottle gourd, sponge gourd, pumpkin etc.
On okra (Bhindi), Jassid can be managed by spraying once or twice at fortnightly interval with 40 ml confidor 17.8SL (imidacloprid) or 40 g Actara 25WG (thiamethoxam) in 100-125 litres of water per acre.

Sugarcane: Due to prevailing hot weather conditions, sugarcane crop require frequent irrigations at 8 to 10 days interval.
To manage termite in sugarcane 45 days after sowing, sprinkle imidacloprid 17.8 SL in 400 litres of water alongside the rows.

Horticulture: Apply light and frequent irrigations to fruit plants such as pear, citrus, late bearing peach.
Apply whitewash to tree trunks to protect them intense solar radiations.
Apply recommended dose of FYM and inorganic fertilizers to guava plants if not applied earlier.
