Advisory for September month crops

RICE- Rice hispa- Spraying of multineem @ 1.5 ml/litre of water should be done. Brown Spot of rice- Spray Mancozeb @ 2.5/litre of water on clear sunny days. Check the inlet and outlet of water in the field as there is heavy rain occurring in the district. Spraying of insecticide and pesticide may be done on dry sunny days.

MAIZE- Current weather condition is favorable for land preparation for rabi maize. Procurement of quality seed should be done. Disease and insect pest free seeds should be selected for sowing. Recommended climate resilient varieties for Arunachal Pradesh: Tapoli, DA-61A, Vivek Hybrid-1.

Ginger- Drain out the excess water in the field. If crops are mature harvest immediately and store in safe place.
