COW- With arrival of winter season, we normally try to feed the animals earlier because daylight decreases and evening temperatures drop, but it will be more comfortable for your cow, if you delay feeding time with the arrival of cold season. The activity involved in eating and the fermentation in the rumen will increase heat production during the evening.

PIG- Current wet and cold weather condition is very serious stage for pigs. Keep the floor and bedding of the animals dry using sand, woodchips, saw dust, straws, rice husk, etc. Wet floor may lead to diarrhea, fever, pneumonia, coccidiosis, hypothermia leading to death. Young animals are at higher risk of developing disease due to wet floors.
