Advisory for Horticulture and Vegetables crops

POTATO- Sowing of well graded potato tuber seed is advised only during clear/dry days. Avoid sowing in muddy soil condition. Treat the tubers with carbendazim 25%+ mancozeb 50% WS @ (1.5 + 3.0) to (1.75 + 3.5) for 10 Kg seed (tuber) before sowing.

KIWI- Fruit is mainly in fruiting/harvesting stage. Keep the base of the plant weed free and avoid water stagnation. Harvesting may be done during clear/dry days and immediately send to market with proper packaging.

BANANA- The crop is mainly in fruiting/ harvesting stage. Weed management is critical in current weather, cover the base of plant with paddy straw and dried banana leaves to suppress weed growth.
