Advisory for Horticulture and Vegetables crops

ORANGE- Crop is now in fruit development stage. During current weather condition there is report of attack of fruit sucking moth. To control, prepare poison bait containing 20 gms malathion mixed with 200 gms gur and some orange juice in 2 liters of water. Fill it in bottle and hang one bottle between 25 to 30 trees all over the orchard.

PINEAPPLE- Fruit is now in harvesting stage. The fruit must be harvested with crown (whorl of leaves attached to the apical end of the fruit) to prolong the freshness of fruit and avoid microbial attack. Arrange for proper drainage in the field.

CABBAGE- Crop is now in nursery preparation/transplanting stage. Transplantation of healthy seedlings is advised. Maintain proper drainage in the field if the crop is already transplanted.
