Advisory for farmers cultivating Wheat, Sugarcane, Maize and Mustard

WHEAT- Farmers who have completed sowing in the last week of November should do light irrigation keeping in view the weather forecast.

SUGARCANE- Keeping in mind the possibility of cold wave and frost in the coming days, the farmers should do the hoeing in the sugarcane crop so that the proper circulation of air and temperature should be maintained.

MAIZE- Farmers who have planted rabi crop of maize and if two to three leaves have come out from the bottom of them, then keeping in mind the upcoming season, do light irrigation and if moisture remains in the field, then do the hoeing.

MUSTARD- In the valleys and low hill areas, light irrigation should be given at the time of grain filling in timely sown crop.
