Advisory for farmers cultivating Wheat, Field Pea and Lentil crops

WHEAT- In unirrigated condition, timely sowing of wheat varieties like- PBW 644, PBW 396, PBW 299, C 306 and WH 1080 should be done in the second fortnight by keeping in view the weather forecast.

LENTIL- Sowing of lentil crop should be done . Lentil varieties like PL 406, PL 639, PL- 4,5,7,8, DPL-15, 62 should be selected for sowing . Seed rate for sowing should be 30- 40 kg/ha.

FIELD PEA- Dwarf variety of field pea like Aparna, Malviya matar-5, DDR-23, Pant matar 13, 14, 25, 75 & normal variety of pea like Pant matar-42 should be selected for sowing. Sowing should be done with seed rate 100-125 kg/ha and 75-80kg/ha for dwarf and normal varieties respectively of pea at a distance 30 cm.
