Advisory for farmers cultivating wheat crop

Wheat- Current mean temperature is around 20-22°C which are suitable for sowing of wheat.

• So farmers are advised to start the sowing.
• Improved varieties: Raj- 4238, Raj- 4079, MP-3288, HI-8713, DBW-110 and Raj-4220. Use seed rate 150 kg/ha in in rows at 22.5 cm apart.
• Seed treatment with chlorpyrifos 20 EC @ 4 ml per kg seed before sowing in the fields having perennial problem of termite infestation.
• Recommended dose of fertilizer for NPK is 120, 40 and 30 kg/ha. 25 kg ZnSO4 should be applied at sowing time with other fertilizers.
