Advisory for farmers cultivating Wheat, Apple and Cauliflower

WHEAT- In termite-infested soils, farmers are advised to treat the seed with 4 ml Dursban/Ruban/Durmet 20 EC (chlorpyrifos) per kg seed and dry it in shade.

• Treat 40 kg seed with 13 ml Raxil easy/Rius 6 FS (tebuconazole) by dissolving in 400 ml of water.

APPLE- Farmers are advised to collect the dropped, damaged & rotten fruits from the orchards and bury them in a deep pits to avoid the spreading of any disease in the orchards.

• In apple spray 1% Urea (2kg/200 L) after the fruit harvesting.
• To control the Canker disease mix 600g Copper Oxychloride in 200L of water.
• Keep the orchards neat and clean after fruit harvesting.

CAULIFLOWER- To protect the grasshopper (tela) insect in cauliflower and other cole crops spray Malathion 50% EC @15 ml in 15 L of water.
