Advisory for farmers cultivating Wheat and Mustard

Wheat- Farmers are advised to irrigate late sown wheat crop at CRI stage (21-25 days aftersowing).

• Top dress 86 kg urea after irrigation.
• To control broad & Narrow leavesweeds in wheat, spray of mesosulfuron methyl 3 % @ 12 gm/ha + iodosulfuron-methyl 0.6 % WG @ 24 gm/ha at 25-30 DAS. Or clodinafop 15% @ 60 gm/ha + metsulfuron-methyl 1.0 % WG @ 4 gm/ha at 30-40 DAS.

Mustard- If low temperature continues for two weeks, white rust infection may start.

• Therefore, farmers are advised to keep observation on leaves for white rust appearance.
• If rust was appear spray mancozeb @ 0.2 %/ha.
• To control aphid dusting of methyl parathion 2% or malathion 5% dust @ 20-25 kg/ha.
