Advisory for farmers cultivating lentil, mustard and sugarcane crops

LENTIL- Sowing of lentils should be done the month of November.

• Lentil varieties like Pant Masoor-8, Pant Masoor-7, Pant Masoor-6, DPL-7 etc. should be selected with seed rate of 30-40 kg/ha and keep row-to-row distance of 25 cm for sowing.

MUSTARD- Late sowing of mustard crop can be done in this month. For sowing, select Vardaan an Aashirwad varieties and row to row distance should be 30 cm.

• After 15 days of sowing, the distance from plant to plant should be reduced to 15 cm by thinning.

SUGARCANE- Light irrigation should be given in the Naulakh crop.
