Advisory for crops

RICE- In current weather condition harvesting of early sown crop is advised. Properly dry the harvested crop in sun before storing. For those in flowering stage, take proper measure to protect the crop from Gundhi Bug infestation. As a traditional method, hang a dead frog or dry fish in the field to trap the insect. Maintain proper water level of atleast 5 cm in the field as water quickly dry out due to continuous sunny weather.

GREEN GRAM- The crop is mainly in flowering stage. Maintain proper moisture level in the field. Regular manual weeding is advised in the current weather and cover the base of the crop with crop residue to conserve soil moisture. 

GINGER- Crop is mainly in maturity/harvesting stage. Harvesting of mature crop in present weather conditions may be done. Properly dry the harvested crop before keeping in store. Do not wash the harvested crop.
