Advice related to the cultivation of wheat, paddy and sugarcane

WHEAT- Necessary irrigation should be given in the wheat crop as needed.

  • Remove weeds like Gulli Danda and jalgi jai (wild oats) and destroy them.
  • On the occurrence of aphid in wheat, spray the solution of Thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 100 ml/ha or Imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 140 ml/ha in 500-600 liters of water.
  • Do second spray at an interval of 15 days.
  • Spray should be done in the morning or evening hours when there is no rain or strong wind.

MUSTARD- Harvest the mature crop of black mustard (rai) and store the grain after drying.

SUGARCANE- Irrigate the crop sown in the month of February and remove weeds by hoeing after 3-4 days.

  • One line of urd, moong or cowpea can be sown as intercrops between two rows of sugarcane.
  • Irrigate the winter crop of sugarcane as per requirement and do top dressing of urea as per recommendation.
