PAU advisory for farmers

Wheat: Farmers are advised to make arrangements of sowing of wheat varieties Unnat PBW 343, Unnat PBW 550, PBW 1 Zinc, PBW 725, PBW 677, HD 3086, WH 1105, PBW 621, HD 2967 and durum wheat WHD 943 and PDW 291 under irrigated conditions.

Rice: Farmers are advised to harvest the mature crop if it is ready to harvest as clear weather expected during coming days.

Basmati: To manage blast in basmati crop, spray 500 gm Indofil Z-78 or 200 ml Amistar Top in 200 litres of water at boot and ear emergence stages.

Sugarcane: For management of sugarcane pyrilla, use chlorpyriphos20EC@600ml/acre in 400lt of water

• Baru weed being alternate host of mite, remove it if growing around the sugarcane fields to prevent mite spread.
