IMD Bihar Advisory for vegetables crops

RICE-

• It is suggested to paddy growers if zinc deficiency is observed at paddy field then apply zinc sulphate @ 25 kg /ha for control of khaira disease on clear sky.
• Farmers are advised to monitor their fields regularly. If leaf folder or stem borer is observed in paddy field, then broadcasting of Cartap hydrocloride 4% granules @ 25 kg/ha when sky is clear, for effective control is recommended on clear sky.

MAIZE-

If cut worm attack take place in the field of kharif maize then apply insecticides chlorpyriphos @ 2ml per litre of water or furadon 4-5 granules in per whorl of the maize plant.

RADISH-

Early sowing of radish is advised. Pusa chetki, Pusa desi, Jounpuri, Pusa himani, Japani safed, Pusa rashmi, Punjab safed and Arka nishant varieties of radish are advised for sowing in North Bihar region. The planting distance should be maintained at 25X10 cm. Seed rate @4-5 kg/hectare is suggested.
