Advisory related to Wheat, Horse Gram and Garden Pea for next five days

There is possibility of cold wave. Therefore, farmers are advised to irrigate the crop and produce smock around the field at evening or spray 0.1 % sulphuric acid to protect the crop from the cold wave.

WHEAT- First irrigation should be given to late sown wheat crop if it is 21-25 days old as per requirement. After 3-4 days of irrigation broadcasting of rest half dose of nitrogen should be done. In wheat crop, if symptoms of termite are appear than application of mixture of 20 kg sand with Chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 2.0 litre should be done in evening hours and subsequent irrigation is recommended.

HORSE GRAM- There is possibility of frost. Therefore, farmers are advised to irrigate the crop and produce smock around the field at evening or spray 0.1 % sulphuric acid to protect the gram crop from the cold wave.

GARDEN PEA- Spraying of 2 % urea is advised for proper growth of pods in the pea crop. It is also helpful to protect the crop from probable frost.
