Advisory related to crop

Wheat- Farmers should complete the sowing of irrigated and timely sown wheat varieties by December 5, 2020 at the earliest. For North Bihar, PBW-343, PBW-443, CBW-38, DBW-39, HD-2733, HD-2967, HD-2824, K-9107, K-307, HUW-206 and HUW- 468 irrigated and seasonal wheat varieties are recommended. Before sowing, treat the seeds at the rate of 2.5 g of Bavistin per kg of seed. Use 125 kg seeds per hectare for sowing with broadcasting method and 100 kg seed for sowing with seed drill. In pre-sowing field, apply 150-200 quintals of compost, 60 kg of nitrogen, 60 kg of phosphorus and 40 kg of potash per hectare.

Rabi Maize- Complete the sowing of rabi maize till November 30 otherwise the yield may be affected. For sowing hybrid varieties Shaktiman 1 white, Shaktiman 2 white, Shaktiman-3 yellow, Shaktiman 4 yellow, Shaktiman-5 yellow, Ganga 11 orange yellow, Rajendra hybrid maize 1, Rajendra hybrid maize 2 and Rajendra hybrid maize Deep Jwala and advanced varieties -Devki white, Lakshmi white and Suan yellow are recommended for this region. In ploughing the field, apply 50 kg nitrogen, 75 kg phosphorus and 50 kg potash per hectare. 

Mustard- Sow late varieties of mustard, Rajendra Anukul, Rajendra Suflam and Rajendra mustard by the end of this month. Maintain a spacing of 12 to 15 centimetres of the plant in the crop of mustard, which has been grown for 20 to 25 days. Do irrigate as needed.
