Advisory for farmers cultivating Pumpkin, Radish, Bottle Gourd and Brinjal

PUMPKIN- Cucumber and Chappan kaddu should be sent to the market.

RADISH- Transplanting of an early variety of radish should be done.  

BOTTLE GOURD- If there is an infestation of fruit fly in bottle gourd, it can be reduced by using pheromone traps.

BRINJAL- On the occurrence of whitefly in brinjal, thiamethoxam 25 WDG 200ml/500lit water/ha or pyriproxyfen 5 +fenpropathrin 15 EC @ 700ml/500lit water/ha should be sprayed. Spraying of chemicals should be done in clear weather.
