University's advice for Tomato, Peas and Chilli growers
TOMATO- In tomato crop, roots should be dipped in to the solution of imidacloprid @1g/lit of water for 10-15 min before transplanting.
On the occurrence of contracted piebald leaves in early transplanted crops of tomato, infected plants should be removed and destroyed.
To control the juice sucking insect in these crops, sarvangi insecticide should be sprayed.
PEAS- When lower leaves of pea are turning yellow and plants are drying, then roots of pea crop should be irrigated with the solution of carbendazim @ 1 g/ lit of water.
CHILLI- Roots of chilli crop should be dipped in to the solution of imidacloprid @ 1g/lit of water for 10-15 min before transplanting.
On the occurrence of contracted piebald leaves in early transplanted crops of chilli, infected plants should be removed and destroyed.
