Sow improved varieties of Maize, Paddy and Soybean

Keeping in view of threat of corona (COVID-19) spread farmers are advised to follow the government guidelines, use mask, ensure social distancing (six feet), get maximum number of vaccinations at reasonable interval during all agricultural operation in crops and field. Deep plow the fields to conserve rainwater in the soil. To increase the water holding capacity of the soil, apply 10 ton per hectare of farm yard manure in the field.

Maize- Due to rain of last week proper moisture available in soil, farmers are advice to sowing of maize crop. Before sowing seed treatment should be done with fungicide after that bio fertilizer PSB & Azotobacter. Improved varieties of Maize:- Pratap QPM-1, HQPM-1, QPM-5, PEHM-2, Pratap hybrid maize-1, Pratap  Makka-9, Pratap hybrid Makka-3, Bio-9682, DHM-121 etc.

Paddy- Start the sowing of paddy in nursery. Improved varieties of Paddy:- Pusa Sugandha-4, Pusa Sugandha-5, Pusa -1121, Pratap Sugandha-1, Pusa Basmati-1, Pusa Basmati-1509 etc.

Soybean- Sowing of soybean should be at proper moisture available in soil. Seed treatment with Rhizobium culture, 3 g thiaram or 1 g carbendazim/kg seed. Improved varieties of Soybean:-Pratap Soya-1, Pratap Soya-45, , Pratap Raj Soya- 24 (RKS-24), JS 20-34, JS 20-29 etc.
