Farmers doing Paddy farming should look into this
Rice- Keeping in view of light rainfall forecast farmers are advised to transplant paddy seedling as earliest in prepared fields with a spacing of 20 cm (row–row) x 10 cm (plant-plant).
Two to three inch of top portion of leaves to be cut at the time of transplanting, it helps insect control.
Standing water in the field should be 5 cm. If paddy nursery has been damaged due to high temperature; farmers are advised for direct sowing of germinated seeds of short duration varieties of paddy.
For this field should be leveled.
Recommended varieties are Pusa sugandh-5, Saket-4, Govind, P S-5, PRH-10.
Fertilizers should be applied as per recommended doses.
One packet of Blue Green Algae (BGA) per acre should be used for increasing nitrogen in the paddy field.
