Farmers doing Paddy and Maize farming should look into this

Rice- Farmers are advice to transplant 20-25 days old paddy seedling in prepared fields with spacing of 20 x 10 (R x P) cm. Nitrogen 100 kg./ha, Phosphorus 60 kg./ha, Potash 40 kg./ha and zinc sulphate 25 kg/ ha should be use before transplanting. Add one packet/acre of Blue Green Algae (BGA) in those fields of paddy where standing water is available, as it is rich source of nitrogen. Farmers are advised to make bund for conserving rain water in the field. Bund should be higher and wider so that more rain water can be conserved in the field.

Maize- Farmers are advised for sowing of maize in prepared fields. Maintain optimum soil moisture in the field. Recommended Hybrids: AH-421, AH-58 or Composites: Pusa composite-3, Pusa composite-4. Seed rate 20 kg/ha. It is also advised to maintain row to row spacing 60-75 cm. and plant to plant spacing18-25 cm. Spray of Atrazine 1-1.5 kg a.i/ha. in 800 litre of water is recommended for effective weed control in maize.
