Farmers cultivating Tomato, Spinach and Onion should keep these things in mind
Tomato- Harvest the tomatoes by twisted hands to separate fruits from the stems.
Fruits should be harvested early in morning and evening hours and kept in shade.
Collect the damaged fruits and leaves and buried them in the soil to avoid the attack of the shoot borer in Tomato.
Install pheromone trap @ 25 per hac if pest population is high.
To control the attack of mites in tomatoes, spray Propargite 57 % EC @ 10 ml/ 10 L of water under a clear sky.
Spinach- Farmers are advised to go for sowing of crop.
Onion- Farmers are advised to prepare fields for planting onion bulbs sets for seed production by second fortnight of August at the spacing of 15X10cm.
