Farmers cultivating Chilli, Vegetable Pea, Bottle Gourd and Green Gram should keep these things in mind

CHILLI- Proper drainage should be maintained in the field of chilli crop because if water remains in the field for 24 hours, the crop dries up. If the upper stipe of chili crop is drying after turning black, then infected branches should be removed by plucking to save the crop, and to save the crop from rotting solution of 0.1% Carbendazim should be sprayed but keeping in view the rainfall condition.

VEGETABLE PEA- In unirrigated (rainfed) mid hilly regions, the arrangement of the seeds of an early variety of pea should be done for sowing them in the mid of August. Seed selected for sowing must be treated before sowing.

BOTTLE GOURD- If there is an infestation of fruit fly in bottle gourd, it can be reduced by using pheromone traps.

GREEN GRAM- Sowing of green gram should be done by mid of this month.
