Expert advice on vegetables such as Brinjal, Bottle Gourd and French Bean

BRINJAL- Collect the damaged fruits and leaves and buried them in the soil to avoid the attack of the shoot borer in Brinjal.

• Install pheromone trap @ 25 per hac if pest population is high.
• Keeping in view the weather conditions, spraying of recommended chemicals is advised.

BOTTLE GOURD- Keep regular check on the symptoms of insect & diseases.

• For control of red beetle in bottle gourd, spray cypermethrin 10 EC @1ml/ l of water.
• To control the attack of Bacterial disease in Bottle gourd, cucumber and Pumpkin spray Blitox 3gm @ 1L of water.

FRENCH BEAN- To control the attack of mosaic (Patches of light and dark green colour on the leaves) spray Malathion 100 ml/L of water.
