Complete sowing of Pigeon Pea, Maize, Paddy and Green Gram by the first fortnight of July

PIGEON PEA- Sowing of late sown variety of pigeon pea should be completed till first fortnight of July month.

MAIZE- Sowing of maize crop should be completed during this week in the plains. 

RICE- Transplanting of paddy should be completed in the month of July and direct sowing of paddy can be done till the first week of July month. Arrangement for irrigation and proper drainage of water should be done in the field before transplanting of paddy. Transplanting should be done after 10-15hrs of puddling. Transplanting of medium duration variety of paddy should be completed in the first week of July and early maturing variety should be done till the third week of July. Before transplanting the seedlings of paddy, roots should be dipped for half an hour in the solution of Carbendazim @1g/liter of water.

GREEN GRAM- Sowing of green gram (moong) should be done in the valley regions by keeping in view the weather forecast.
