All the farmers are advised to keep regular checks at plants in the orchards

FRUITS- To protect the fruit plants from intense heat, apply frequent irrigations to the bearing as well as young fruit plants. Litchi and pear require regular irrigations for proper fruit development and it reduces fruit cracking in Litchi.

• Regularly remove the suckers arising from the rootstock portion of the newly planted fruit plants.
• Apply white wash mixture having copper sulphate mix on the main trucks of fruit trees to protect them from intense solar radiations and diseases during coming rainy season.
• Apply first split of inorganic fertilizers in guava orchards as per recommendations as soon as possible, if not done earlier.
• Planning and layout for establishment of new evergreen fruit plant orchards should be started.
