Advisory for the farmers growing Maize, Fodder Sorghum, Rice, Sugarcane and Ginger crops

MAIZE- Don't irrigate the maize crop by keeping in view the possibility of rainfall in the coming days.

FODDER SORGHUM- Sowing of fodder sorghum should be done during dis monsoon season.

RICE- Keeping in view the forecast of rain in the coming days, prepare the field for transplanting paddy. Transplanting of early maturing variety of paddy should be completed till the third week of July. Before transplanting the seedlings of paddy, roots should be dipped for half an hour in the solution of Carbendazim @1g/liter of water.

SUGARCANE- Arrange for drainage in waterlogged fields in sugarcane crop.

GINGER- Keeping in view the possibility of rain in the coming days, do not accumulate the rain water in the field.
