Advisory for farmers doing Animal Husbandry

ANIMAL HUSBANDARY- Internal worms like round worms, flat worms are differently treated after diagnosis.

• In order to remove them from body, piperazine powder, fenbendazole and albendazole etc can be used.
• Diseased animals should be separated from healthy ones.
• In case disease is suspected, the faeces/dung of whole herd should be tested in a laboratory specially for those animals who appear weak inspite of good feeding management.
• The blood test should also be regularly performed so that disease could be identified before it turns serious.
• Calves should also be dewormed atleast 3-4 times till three months of age.
