Advisory for farmers doing Animal Husbandry

Livestock- New born calves can suffer from pneumonia in cold and maximum mortality occurs due to this reason so take care to tie them in neat clean and dry place.

• Animals should be kept inside the shed at night and tied outside during the day when sunlight is available.
• Dairy animals should not be fed green, germinated, soiled and damaged potatoes because these can prove disastrous for the health of animals.
• In order to protect the udder from cuts and dryness, glycerine and povidone iodine need to be mixed in 1:4 ratio and applied regularly.
