Advisory for farmers cultivating Wheat and Oil Seeds

WHEAT- Regularly survey the wheat crop for the occurrence of yellow rust.

• If symptoms appeared then spray Custodia/Caviet/Opera/Tilt/Stilt/Bumper/Shine/Markzole @0.1 % or Nativo @ 0.06 %.
• During these days, manage rodent pests in wheat crop sown with conventional tillage method by placing zinc phosphide or bromadiolone bait @ 400 gm/acre before milky grain stage.
• For wheat sown with happy seeder, place zinc phosphide or bromadiolone bait @ 400 gm/acre before milky grain stage at 40 points on pieces of paper by placing 10 gm bait at each point.
• To produce karnal bunt free seed of wheat, give single spray of 200 ml Tilt per acre using 200 litres of water at ear emergence stage.

OILSEEDS- When plants infestation by aphids in rapeseed and mustard crop reach 40-50%, spray Actara 25 WG (thiamethoxam) 40 g or Rogor 30 EC (dimethoate) 400 ml or Dursban/Coroban 20 EC (chlorpyriphos) 600 ml using 80-125 litres of water per acre.
