Advisory for farmers cultivating Tomato, Onion and Apple

TOMATO- To control the thrips, fipronil 5SC @2ml/ha should be sprayed.

ONION- Transplanting of seedlings of onion should be done.

APPLE- To control the stem rot disease in apple and seed bearing fruits, the soil should be removed from the surrounded area of the stem in the affected fruit tree so that sun rays may enter directly in the stem of the affected tree.

• Affected bark should be removed and chaubatia paste should be applied and covered with soil.
