Advisory for farmers cultivating Tomato, Cabbage and Colocasia vegetable

Tomato- Harvest the tomatoes by twisted hands to separate fruits from the stems

• Fruits should be harvested early in morning and evening hours and kept in shade.
• Collect the damaged fruits and leaves and buried them in the soil to avoid the attack of the shoot borer in Tomato.
• Install pheromone trap @ 25 per hac if pest population is high.

Cauliflower- Farmers are advised to go for the raising of early nursery of cauliflower.

Colocasia- Remove the yellow leaves (chlorosis) and keep the field neat and clean to avoid the spread of disease.
