Advisory for farmers cultivating Sugarcane and Green Fodder
SUGARCANE- For management of sugarcane pyrilla, use chlorpyrifos 20 EC @600 ml/acrein 400lt of water.
- Baru weed being alternate host of mite, remove it if growing around the sugarcane fields to prevent mite spread.
FODDER- It is the optimum time for the sowing of single cut oats varieties (OL 11, OL 12, OL 13 and OL 15) and malticut varieties (OL 10 and OL 14).
- Sow the oats crop in 20 cm apart rows with 25 kg of seed per acre.
