Advisory for farmers cultivating Rice and Maize

RICE- In the early stage of paddy field, on the occurrence of stem borer, the field should be filled with 2 inches of water then spray, chlorantraniliprole 0.4G @10 kg/ha of or Fipronil 0.3G @ 25 kg/ha within 50 days of transplanting.

MAIZE- If more than 5% of maize plants are affected by borer, then spray Coragen @ 150 ml per hectare. Spraying of chemicals should be done in clear weather.
