Advisory for farmers cultivating Rice and Maize crops

RICE- Transplanting of scented rice var. Sugandha, Kamini, Rajendra suwasini, Rajendra kasturi and Rajendra bhagwati should be completed.

MAIZE- Farmers are advised to do earthing up after eradication of weeds flora by application of topramizon @ 40 g ai/ha or Atrazine @ 1.5 kg ai/ha. Apply 88 kg urea per hectare in kharif maize field for better growth and yield. If cut worm attack take place in the field then apply insecticides chlorpyriphos @ 2ml per litre of water or furadon 4-5 granules in per whorl of the maize plant.
