Advisory for farmers cultivating Rice and Maize crops

RICE- To control weed in rice field, farmers should spray Butachlor 50 EC @ 1200 ml/acre or Pretilachlor 50 EC @ 800 ml /acre, Metsfluron + Chlorimuron @ 8 g/acre, or 2, 4-D @ 400 ml  acre when sky is clear.

MAIZE- Farmers are advised to do earthing up after eradication of weeds flora by application of topramizon @ 40 g ai/ha or Atrazine @ 1.5 kg ai/ha. Apply 88 kg urea per hectare in kharif maize field for better growth and yield. If cut worm attack take place in the field then apply insecticides chlorpyriphos @ 2ml per litre of water or furadon 4-5 granules in per whorl of the maize plant.
