Advisory for farmers cultivating Rice and Maize crops
RICE- The recommended dose of nitrogen should be applied as a top dressing in the transplanted paddy after hoeing. Weeding should be done at 20 and 40 days of transplanting. If the availability of human labour is less, 3.0 lit butachlor 50 EC or 1.65 lit anilofos 30 EC or 1.5 lit pretilachlore 50 EC should be sprayed in 500 lit of water within 2-3 days of transplanting. Proper moisture should be available in the field while using the chemicals.
MAIZE- Keeping in view the possibility of rain in the coming days, do not irrigate the maize crop.
