Advisory for farmers cultivating Potato, Capsicum and Peas
POTATO- To control the late blight disease in potato, any one mixture of cymoxanil + mancozeb or Dimethomorph + Mancozeb or Fenamidone + mancozeb @ 3.0 g/liter of water should be sprayed.
If the intensity of the disease increases, respray any one of the above-mentioned fungicides at an interval of 10-15 days but farmers are requested to use a mixed fungicide for spraying only once.
After spraying mixed fungicide, if the intensity of the disease subsides, spray Mancozeb @ 2.5 gm/liter of water as per requirement.
CAPSICUM- In hilly areas, where tomato, capsicum and cucumber are to be cultivated inside the polyhouse, clean and dig the soil and treat with chemicals like formalin.
PEAS- In mid hills which are very much prone to the hail, immediate sowing of Arkel or other early variety of pea should be done.
