Advisory for farmers cultivating Paddy, Gram and Soybean crops
RICE- In view of the possibility of rain in the coming days, stop the harvesting of Cheti/Jethi/transplanted paddy in the valley and low altitude mountain areas till the weather is clear and keep the harvested crop in safe place. In mid-hills, remove and destroy the weed host in the field bunds and channel. Avoid the flow of water from the disease-infected field to healthy fields.
HORSE GRAM- In view of the possibility of rain in the coming days, postpone the harvesting of gram crop now and do it when the weather is clear.
SOYABEAN- Keep monitoring the crop. To control the caterpillar pest and stem borer, spraying of chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 150ml/700-800 liters of water per hectare should be done. Spraying should be done in clear weather.
