Advisory for farmers cultivating Paddy and Maize crops

Paddy- Leaf color chart can be used for need based urea application.

• To control the attack of false smut spray of 400 ml Galileo Way 18.76 SC (picoxystrobin + propiconazole) or 500 g Dupont Kocide (copper hydroxide) in 200 litres of water per acre in disease prone areas.
• Constant monitoring for brown plant hopper in paddy field is essential during this period, to control planthopper spray 800 ml Ekalux/Quinguard/Quinalmass 25 EC (quinalphos) in 100 litres of water per acre.

Maize- Farmers are advised to harvest the maize crop if the plant and cobs of maize are dried in proper sunlight.

• Safety measures for social distancing, mask and sanitizing should be taken care of while harvesting and proper drying of maize before marketing.
