Advisory for farmers cultivating Onion and Litchi

ONION- Prepare onion field and mix rotten dung manure of 25 to 30 quintal per hectare 3 to 4 weeks before planting.

• For transplanting onion, use 7 to 8 weeks old seedlings.
• Transplant onions at a distance of 15 × 10 cm in case of large onion and at 8x5 cm in case of small.

LITCHI- Irrigation should not be given to fruitful litchi plants at the time of flowering because it creates difficulty in the flowering.

• But irrigation can be given in the new plants which are not in the flowering stage.
