Advisory for farmers cultivating Mango and Guava

MANGO- Drying up the leaves in the MAngo tree is mainly due to waterlogging in the field. So, make proper arrangements for drainage. Waterlogging in the initial years of mango establishment is very harmful. When the field becomes Water-free/dry (but having appropriate moisture content) use recommended dose of fertilizers in the tree basin according to the age of plants.

GUAVA- On the infestation of scale insects in guava trees, spray Imidacloprid 17.8 SL 2ml/5 liter of water or Thiamethoxam 25 WDG 2gm/5liter of water. Spraying of chemicals should be done in clear weather.
